Basketball season is here! The girls’ basketball team began
two-a-days Monday, November 12th. This year there are 18 girls out
for basketball. Twelve of the girls are new to the program so there
has been much to learn.
After a week of hard work, the boys and girls teams participated in
“Indian Madness” last Friday night. The event consisted of drills
by both basketball teams, cheerleader routines, fan and faculty
contests, and prize drawings. A three point contest pitted the boys
against the girls. After some intense competition, Kelsey B. was
crowned the winner of the three point contest.
To wrap up the first week of basketball, several members of the
girls’ basketball team took in a Seward County Community College
women’s basketball game.
The Lady Indians will host the South Gray Rebels Friday, November
30th to tip-off the season. We hope to see you there and look
forward to an exciting season of basketball.
