The Satanta Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) chapter is up and running for the 2009-10 school year. Officer elections were held, and officers are as follows: President-S Caro; Vice-President-M Gonzalez; Secretary-J Longoria; Treasurer-M Kuehler; Reporter-J Apsley; Historian-R Valdez; and Parliamentarian-P Ungles. Other members include S Connor, N Harlow, S Garcia, Z Duran, B Walters, O Vogts, A Young, and S Bauer. Ms. Lorena Melius is entering her third year as sponsor of the group. There will be an installation of the members and officers on Monday, November 2, in the high school auditorium. FBLA was founded in 1940 and involves nearly 250,000 members nationwide. FBLA mission statement: Our mission is to bring business and education together in a positive working relationship through innovative leadership and career development programs.
