Where Did the Year Go?

It is hard to believe we are to the last couple of days!!!! The students have worked very hard all year and made great progress! I am so glad to have been able to teach them and have each of them in my class!
This spring we have been very busy with programs, contest, parades, and just finishing out the school year. Each class has worked very hard to prepare and perform for each event.
On April 21st, the 6th Grade band traveled to Moscow for the 6th-8th Contest where the band played two pieces and received a II rating, which we are very proud of.
On May 6th after many busy weeks of preparation the 4th-6th grade classes had their Spring Program “Blast from the Past”, which featured several songs from the 60’s and 70’s. The 4th graders were also able to display their skills on recorders at this time. We have worked hard since February to build up their abilities on instruments and help prepare them for participation in band next year. The 5th and 6th grade bands also performed in this concert and showed the outstanding advancements they have made throughout the year.
The Kindergarten through 3rd grade students performed the musical “The Selfish Giant” on May 13th, at the Satanta High School. Many of the students played instruments, danced, sang, and acted making this program a great success. The students worked very very hard for this program and I feel their work paid off with a remarkable concert.
Thank you to all those who have helped me so much this past year not only at program time but also day to day. Thank you teachers, parents, administration, students, and the whole Satanta community, your support is greatly appreciated. Have a Nice Summer and keep Singing!!!!!!
