Pie a Teacher?

As an incentive to get the students to participate in Jump Rope for Heart this year I offered them a challenge. The students were going to get a chance to pie a teacher! If a student raised $25 or more they got to vote for the teacher to get a pie in the face. Upon raising $75 or more, the student’s name went in a drawing to be the one to throw the pie. The student that collected the most money would get to clean the teacher off with a squirt gun.
The students placed their vote in October and the results were kept secret until the day of the event. The pie in the face was scheduled for Wednesday, December 16 as an end of the semester treat! On the day of the event, the students had a huge surprise! There was a tie! To make things even more fun, both teachers choose to participate. Mr. Smith and Mrs. Woolfolk were gracious enough to take the pie in the face! The students enjoyed the entertainment and are excited about participating in Jump Rope for Heart next year!
