We are having trouble with cars parking in our bus zone before and after school. Please refrain from parking in the area with the Red Box in the picture below during customary bus pick-up and drop off times. Keeping this area free of unauthorized vehicles will speed up the busing process and promote safety for our students. THANK YOU!
EFFECTIVE JAN 5, 2015
Due to an increase in the amount of situations involving personal devices, mainly cell phones, during this semester, we will be reverting back to the cell phone policy in the handbook from previous years. (Cell phones pg 26). This will also include the Materials Brought To School policy on page 30.
These items include but are not limited to:
So, effective Jan 5, 2015, personal devices will not be allow during the school day from 8:00am -3:24pm. They may have cell phones in their possession as long as they are on silent and out of sight. If a staff member would like them to use their phones in class as calculators, that is up to the individual teacher.
Students may use their phones and other devices before school (until 8:00am), at lunch (their lunch period), and after school (after 3:24pm, or after the release bell). They will no longer be allowed to be used in class (calculator exception) and in the hallways during the school day. Please encourage students to leave these items at home.
Students will be notified in classes between now and Christmas Break.
We will begin confiscating inappropriate use of personal devices starting in the spring.
Holiday Greetings, Parents;
I wish you a happy, restful and fulfilling Thanksgiving!
Christmas is quickly approaching and the Christmas program, too. The Satanta Grade School Music Program is scheduled for December 4, 2014 at 7:00 PM in the Satanta High School Auditorium. The students will need to be at the high school at 6:30 PM with their best singing voices and happy attitudes. This is a special time for celebrating the Christmas spirit with many familiar and some not-so-familiar Christmas songs and carols. The 5th grade band will perform first, followed by the elementary music classes.
Program dress is dress-up clothes, similar to that which you would wear to church or for picture day. Jeans, if worn, should be nice, dark colored jeans without the shredded pant legs or holes in the knees.
This is an exciting time and we look forward to sharing our talents with you.
We hope to see you there!
