Fire Safety

October 4 – 10, 2009 is National Fire Prevention Week. K-2 has been doing fire safety activities and watched videos about fire safety. On Friday, October 9 the Satanta Firefighters came to the grade school to discuss fire safety, what to do in a fire, demonstrate how firefighter gear works, and show the fire truck. They also discussed Halloween coming up and how to be safe such as wearing reflectors or carrying a glow stick while Trick-or-Treating. They also gave each student a Halloween bag with goodies in it.
