Satanta High School Hosts Senior Parent Night

By Jacob Miramontes

Satanta High School hosted Senior Parent Night on February 21, which marked the last home game for Satanta senior basketball players Rogelio Pando, Angel Meza, Amberley Taylor, and Natalia Gonzalez. The Indians took on Ingalls with the boys’ team seeking revenge on the Bulldogs who beat them by a single point during the SPIAA league tournament play in Spearville earlier in the season with a final score of 50-49. Tuesday was again a tight game with Ingalls emerging as the victors by a tight score of 53-49. The Ingalls girls also picked up a win against Satanta on Tuesday.

In between the girls’ and boys’ games, Satanta seniors and their parents were recognized with each mom receiving a rose. During halftime of the boys’ game, the Satanta Senior Parents auctioned off basketballs signed by the boys’ and girls’ teams. These funds will be used for After Prom. Sub-state action begins for both Indian teams on Monday, February 27.
