December 21 marked the last day of the fall semester for students at Satanta Junior-Senior High School. The Satanta KAYs organization. sponsored by Mrs. Janis Grover, hosted an indoor snowball fight for high school students to celebrate a successful conclusion to the semester. The snowball fight consisted of students being put in groups of 5-6 to play against other each other; the team were put in brackets for full tournament play, as arranged by Mr. Tim Dusin. The snowballs were made out of cotton, and the rules of play were similar as dodgeball. Junior high students enjoyed a gingerbread architecture challenge in which they re-created the community of Satanta during this time.
A TRIBE assembly followed the snowball fight, during which TRIBE t-shirts were distributed to those students who earned their five points or more points for third nine weeks. Names were also drawn for grocery store gift certificates. Entrants included all students in grades 6-12 who earned five or more TRIBE points during the first semester.
