Satanta Junior High Track Experiences Success at South Gray

Junior High track is underway in Satanta. This year’s boys’ and girls’ teams are coached by Corey Bixler, Jeremy Hazen, and Libby Warrick. The team’s first track meet was held at South Gray on March 26.


Many Indians experienced success in Montezuma with these students posting especially notable performances: 6th grader Morgan Pendergraft placed 2nd in the 100, 7th in the 200, 4th in 400, and 6th in long jump. Kamden Barbo captured 1st in the 2-mile and 3rd in Pole Vault. In the 4x1, Roberto Salazar, Anthony Najera, Victor Manriquez and Kamden Barbo took first with a time of  51.88. Roberto Salazar, Anthony Najera, Angel Munoz, Kamden Barbo placed 2nd place in the Medley. Kacen Anthony placed 1st place in discus.

 

The Indians will compete at home on April 9.
