Información del programa
Propósito: Este curso está diseñado para fortalecer las habilidades de lectura, escritura, expresión oral y comprensión auditiva en inglés de los adultos que están aprendiendo el idioma. Un mejor dominio del inglés puede ayudar a los participantes a tener éxito en el trabajo, continuar sus estudios y acceder a nuevas oportunidades.

Reuniones de la clase: Las clases se llevarán a cabo los lunes a las 6:00 p. m. en la biblioteca de Satanta High School. Cada sesión durará al menos una hora y el curso incluirá 12 sesiones. Se podría ofrecer cuidado infantil si hay suficiente demanda. El calendario completo aparece a continuación.
Cupo de la clase: La inscripción está limitada a 12 estudiantes. Se dará preferencia a los empleados de Satanta District Hospital y a los adultos que tengan hijos inscritos en el sistema escolar USD 507.
Cuotas: USD 507 y Satanta District Hospital compartirán el costo del curso. Los participantes deberán entregar un depósito de $50 en la primera reunión de la clase para garantizar su inscripción. Se prefiere un cheque a nombre de USD 507. El depósito se devolverá a quienes completen el curso. Quienes no completen el curso perderán el depósito.
Materiales: Satanta District Hospital proporcionará gratuitamente todos los materiales del curso.

The Satanta community, USD 507, Satanta alumni, teachers, parents, grandparents, and supporters near and far are dedicated to making sure our local students have everything they need to learn, participate, and succeed.
There are SO many ways to support USD 507 students and their families! If you’d like to join us in this mission, here are a few ways to help:
1. Become a TRIBE Supporter and support our school’s PBIS program. Your $50 donation earns you a custom TRIBE hat made right here at Satanta High School! TRIBE T-shirts will also soon be available for purchase by the general public.
2. Support SPEAR or the Care Closet. SPEAR (Students Providing Educational and Athletic Resources) and the Care Closet help ensure that students have the supplies—and even the shoes!—they need to participate fully in school. SPEAR has already contributed more than $500 this year to help our students purchase school shoes, football cleats, and other necessities. The Care Closet provides students with access to nonperishable food, hygiene products, and other essentials.
2. Donate to Fuel Our Athletes and help our KAY Club provide meals for students in grades 6–12 traveling to away games.
3. Sign up for an S-Club Banner Sponsorship and display a custom banner featuring your business, church, or community organization on the fence beside the football stadium and on the walls of the main gym.
4. Give to the Satanta PTO School-Supply Campaign, which has provided FREE school supplies to every Satanta student for more than 10 years! The PTO is also always looking for new members who want to get involved and support our students and schools.
From academics and athletics to basic needs and school supplies, these programs reflect a community-wide commitment to giving Satanta students every opportunity to succeed.
