USD 507 Open Houses are tonight (August 20). The SGS Open House is come and go from 5 to 6 p.m. The 6th Grade Open House begins at 6 p.m. in the SHS Auditorium.

August lunch menu
USD 507 Open Houses will be held on Tuesday, August 20. The SGS Open House is come and go from 5 to 6 p.m. The 6th Grade Open House begins at 6 p.m. in the SHS Auditorium. Mr. Alvarado will speak to incoming 6th graders and their families at this time.
School begins on Wednesday, August 21 for K-12 students. Students will be dismissed at noon with no lunch served. PreK students will begin school on Thursday, August 22.

USD 507 is in the process of ordering new Satanta flags to replace those that have become worn by the elements. If you would like to purchase one of these 3 ft by 5 ft flags, please contact Ryan Burrows (rburrows@usd507.org or 620-649-7167) by the end of the week. The current cost for a double-sided flag is $50.
This year, USD 507 will print monthly sports and activities calendars (instead of yearly). These calendars will be available in the SHS office. We will also distribute calendars to Satanta businesses, Dudley Township Library, and Happy Agers. We hope that this will allow us to publish more accurate, up-to-date schedules. The event calendar is always available at our website, usd507.org, or through the USD 507 app.
For the Fall 2024 sports season, USD 507 PreK-12 students will be admitted free to home , regular season games. Grade school students must be accompanied by an adult and must sit with an adult. Junior high and high school students must sit in the student section.
If students fail to follow these guidelines, they may be asked to leave the game and may be required to pay for future games.
There will be a parent meeting for all fall JH and HS sports (football, volleyball, and cross country) in the SHS new gym on August 19 at 7 p.m.

Our SPEAR (Students Providing Educational and Athletic Resources) program is designed to provide assistance to families struggling with expenses related to full academic and athletic participation. Funds are available to help students with items like athletic shoes, knee pads, and backpacks. (Please note that all required school supplies are provided by the Satanta PTO.) The goal of this program is to reduce barriers to participation. Any USD 507 student may request assistance from the program.
