
Silas delivered 55 pounds of pop tabs to the Ronald McDonald House in Kansas City!



Last night SHS inducted new members into National Honor Society, and NHS presented Officer Tiffany Gasseling with a donation to the Western Kansas Child Advocacy Center. Thank you to Pastor Kyle Woodrow for speaking at this event. Congratulations to all NHS members!





Now that holiday season is upon us, the calendar is getting busy! Here's what we have planned at SGS for November and December.

We met our building-wide attendance goal for the 1st quarter, so we celebrated with color tag and a building-wide recess! Thank you, TRIBE families, for helping us meet our goal!

The SGS Halloween Parade begins at 2:15 on Thursday. Apache Park is the best viewing location. Please send costumes to school with students--they will get ready at school.
No costumes are allowed for students in grades 6-12.
There is no school for USD 507 on Friday, November 1.


These kindergarteners have earned 100 Dojo points! Way to go!


The Satanta High School Scholars' Bowl team (tonight's crew: Clayton Kunselman, Jalynn Hockett, Marshall Alexander, Deacon Hockett, and Lauren Dusin) took third place at the Lakin High School Scholars' Bowl. Go, Indians!


Mark your calendars for a Veterans Day program at 2:30 p.m. in the Satanta Grade School gym. The public is invited. Veterans will be honored with a musical program featuring our kindergarten through 5th grade students.


The SHS Junior Class is selling Zak's Cheese. If you would like to place on order, kindly contact Courtney Dunn (cdunn@usd507.org), and she will assist you in getting a salesperson sent your way..
Sale dates are 10/28-11/11. Orders must be paid for before delivery, which is after Thanksgiving, just in time for Christmas!

The Satanta High School Little Free Library launched this year. We'd gladly accept your donations of new or gently used books from all genres to stock our bookcase, but young-adult novels are our greatest need!

SGS Leadership Council met today to plan the school reward for meeting the 1st 9 week attendance goal. Stay tuned to see what they planned!
