Satanta High School National Honor Society will induct six new members on Monday, November 4 at 7:00 p.m. These new members, Kassady Lazar, Eva Loewen, Morgan Pendergraft, Mia Burrows, Edgar Najera, and Montae Sowers were selected by a faculty panel for membership. Their selection was based on the maintenance of a 3.5+ cumulative grade-point average; the submission of a resume with references; and the creation of a prospective-member essay.
All members of Satanta NHS are invited to bring their family and friends to the induction ceremony, which will feature guest speaker Rev. Kyle Woodrow who is the current pastor at both the Montezuma and Sublette United Methodist Churches.
A banquet catered by the USD 507 food service staff will follow the ceremony. This meal will be complimentary for all members and the guest speaker. All others are asked to RSVP and pre-pay $5 per person to help defray the cost of the evening's meal, which is being sponsored, in part, by the Satanta S-Club. Members of the USD 507 faculty, staff, and board of education are also invited to attend with the same arrangements listed above. Kindly RSVP by Friday, October 25.
Please join us in celebrating the success of these students!

We were informed of a small gas leak at Spearville HS this morning. The building has been clear, and athletic activities will go on as scheduled. If you have any questions, please contact the HS office.

We're sending a pep bus to Ingalls for Regional Volleyball on Tuesday, October 22! All eligible students in grades 6-12 will be invited to sign-up to ride the bus via Google Form. Students will be responsible for paying their own admission ($6) and providing money for their own meals. The bus will leave after school, potentially as early as 4:00 p.m., for the 6:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. games. Adult supervision will be provided.

Thank you to the Dudley Township Fire Department for teaching our students about fire safety!

USD 507 is hiring a PE teacher for the spring semester. Long-term sub is a possibility.

Minus a few students who missed today's photo, this is the TRIBE wearing their new t-shirts, designed and created by Indian Ink!
We deeply value inclusion and continually work to make sure that Satanta Jr.-Sr. High School has room for everyone.

The Satanta Booster Club is hosting a Hamburger Feed on Friday, October 18 for Senior Night with serving beginning at 6:00 p.m. All of Satanta's fall athletes will eat free that night!

October 16 is a half day. Students will be dismissed at noon. Lunch will be served.

We are deeply grateful for Cloverleaf 4H's support of our SPEAR project, which serves USD 507 students by providing athletic gear, school supplies and backpacks, nutritional support, and more. Thank you! Cloverleaf's donation, generated by today's bake sale, comes at a time when our students and staff are working together to create a "giving space" in an unused classroom at Satanta High School. This room will be stocked with clothing items and shoes as well as a library of books, which will be available for student check-out. Eventually, this space will be used to house our school's food pantry as well. As always, donations towards the SPEAR project are welcome! Ready-to-eat foods, personal care items, and cold-weather wear are always in short supply. Monetary donations are especially appreciated as those funds can be used to fill immediate needs.

New Satanta flags will be flying at the football stadium at Satanta High School on Friday, October 18!
The flags were purchased by a coalition of student organizations including the following:
High School Student Council
Junior High Student Council
FCCLA
FFA
Scholars' Bowl
Yearbook
Cheer
Forensics
S-Club
KAY
On, Satanta!

Don't miss the Friday (October 18) home football game. There is A LOT going on that night! Admission to the game will be FREE, courtesy of a buy-out by the Satanta District Hospital. We are continuously grateful for the support of our hospital, which is at the heart of our community both literally and figuratively! The Satanta Booster Club is having a hamburger feed. It's never too late to join! Satanta fall athletes will receive a free meal. It's Senior Night. Join us as we recognize our senior players and their parents! It's Pink-out, and the Satanta KAYs are raising funds for cancer research by selling ribbons in honor of cancer survivors and in remembrance of those who have lost their lives to the disease.
