Today we recognized the 5th graders who graduated from the DARE program. Thank you to Officer Tiffany for teaching this class and to Haskell County law enforcement for supporting it. We are proud of these students!

Indians Track & Field competed in Satanta for the Haskell County Relays (April 23). The
Satanta Indians finished the day with 4 champions along with several personal bests.
In the men’s 100m dash, Isaiah Manriquez accomplished a first place finish with a time of 12.02.
Isaiah’s best time this season of 11.23 places him at third place in the Indians regional, and sixth
place overall in the state for 1A boys. Isaiah also accomplished a first place finish in the long
jump with a new personal best of 21-02. His new best jump is currently the best in the Indians’
region, and the third best jump in the state for 1A boys.
In the women’s javelin throw, Cameron Ross threw a new personal best with a throw of 127-04.
This throw currently places her at the top in the region, and third place overall in the state for 1A
girls. Cameron also placed second in the discus with a throw of 87-01.
In the men’s javelin throw, Joseph Anderson won second place with a new personal best throw
of 142-11. His new best currently places him at 6th place in the region. Joseph also won second
place in the discus throw, with a throw of 117-07.
Malia Anderson accomplished a first place finish in the 300 meter hurdles with a new personal
best of 52.62. She also placed second in the 100m hurdles. Her current best for the 110mh
places her at 4th in the region.
Indian Track & Field will travel to Greensburg for the KCHS Invitational set for Friday April 26th
at 3pm.

The USD 507 all-school cookout will be held Thursday, May 9, at Satanta Grade School. All students (including grades 6-12) will eat the grade school. Families are invited to eat with their students. Tickets are $6 and can be purchased at SGS. We encourage families to purchase tickets in advance to make the line go more smoothly. Serving will begin at 11 a.m., and we will put out an estimated schedule by grade soon.


Arlo was a great TRIBE member. He picked up coats on the playground and took them to classrooms to find their owners.
