Help wanted! Satanta PTO is planning a Back to School Bash the morning of Saturday, August 19. We will have donated clothing for families to shop, and we're hosting a family fitness walk. We would like to provide free games and activities for families as well. We're looking for individuals or organizations who could provide and run an activity that morning, either in the grade school gym, in the parking lot, or along the course for the family walk. We are still accepting donations at the USD 507 central office (100 Caddo). PTO is also serving lunch at the Haskell County Fair on July 28, with proceeds going towards school supplies. It's time for an annual reminder! There is no Satanta School-supply List because all supplies needed for USD 507 students in grades Pk-22 are provided FREE of cost! This year the Satanta PTO has taken on this project. The fundraising for this effort is ongoing, and your support is needed. The Haskell County Health Department is holding a back to school vaccine clinic on Tuesday, August 8, and Thursday, August 10, from 5 to 7 p.m. Call 620.675.8191 to schedule an appointment. Walk-ins are also welcome. Most 4 year olds, 11 year olds, and 16 year olds are due for shots before school starts.
Don't know what to do with the clothes your kids have outgrown? We're hosting a clothing drive! Drop off new and gently used kids' clothes, backpacks, jackets, car seats, athletic equipment, etc. at the Satanta Grade School gym during the summer food program meal times (8:30 to 9:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.).
