The SHS track team competed in a windy meet at Meade on Friday. Isaiah Manriquez placed 1st in the 100m and 5th in long jump. Kacen Anthony placed 2nd in shot put and discus and 3rd in javelin, with Sean Wagner placing 4th in javelin. Malia Anderson placed 2nd in 300m hurdles and 3rd in 100m hurdles. Isaiah Garcia placed 5th in the 800m. Xander Garcia placed 4th in the 3200m and 5th in 300 hurdles. Bobby Salazar placed 6th in the 100m. The boys' 4x800 relay team of Isaiah Garcia, Isaiah Manriquez, Bobby Salazar, and Xander Garcia placed 3rd, and the boys' team placed 4th out of 10 teams. Great job, Indians!

Save the date for the Satanta Grade School Prom, April 16, 2 to 4 p.m. at the Satanta High School cafeteria. This is for all SGS students accompanied by an adult. Cookies and punch will be served.

"It smells like farmland in here," according to our 3rd graders, who are planting seeds, making observations, and experimenting with different types of soil in their science class. All of our 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students are growing plants this 9-weeks.

White Out Day at SGS on Friday, March 10.
This will be the last day of our glow-in-the-dark art week. Students will get to experiment with the art they've created. We encourage everyone to wear white to become part of the glow-in-the-dark experience.
