Seventh grader Lauren Dusin was the winner of the Haskell County Spelling Bee, held at Sublette High School on Wednesday, February 1. She claimed victory by correctly spelling the word "benighted." Lauren will represent Haskell County at the state bee in Wichita in March. Taking 2nd place was Satana 5th grader Michael Purcell. Aiden McDonald, another 5th grade student in Satanta, took 4th place behind Sublette 4th grader John Phoenix. Congratulations, spellers!
