Donuts with Grownups will be next Friday, March 6, at 7:35 in the SGS cafeteria. All SGS students eat free and can invite one grownup to eat for free. Students will bring home tickets for their grownup. Additional adults can eat for $3 and children for $1. Please either bring exact change/check or pre-purchase tickets next week in the SGS office as we won't be able to make change that morning. Pictures will be available in the SGS gym.

Next week is Read Across America Week. SGS is celebrating with a Seussical Spirit Week!


Monday - Cat in the Hat Day

*Wear your favorite hat, dress in stripes, or dress as your favorite Dr. Seuss character!

Tuesday - Thing 1 and Thing 2 Day

*Dress like a friend or wear your red and blue and dress like Thing 1 and Thing 2. 

Wednesday - Wacky Wednesday 

*Wear your wackiest clothes, crazy socks, dress like an animal, or even wear your pajamas. The crazier, the better! 

Thursday - Oh, the Places You’ll Go! 

*It is picture day at SGS, so dress for success. Wear your nice clothes! 

Friday - My Many Colored Days 

*Class color day

Pre-k - Pink

Kindergarten - Green

1st grade - Purple

2nd grade - Orange

3rd grade - Yellow

4th grade - Blue

5th grade - Red

Staff - black or white

To celebrate meeting goals, K-2 students played a giant game of tag and 3-5 students played a kickball tournament with the winning team taking on the teachers. (Teachers won!) Thank you to Kace Wenta for officiating the kickball tournament!

Hundreds Day fun!

Monday was the 100th day of school. We celebrated by dressing like our grandparents!

Congratulations to Natalie Dunn, the winner of the Haskell County Spelling Bee! She will represent Haskell County at the Sunflower State Spelling Bee in March.

Mark your calendars for PreK and Kindergarten Round-Up on March 24 from 5 to 6 p.m. Round-up will be come and go--stop by any time between 5 and 6 p.m. to drop off enrollment forms, meet teachers, and visit classrooms. Help us spread the word to families!

Satanta High School Art Club will host a Taco Fundraising Meal at the February 5 junior high basketball games in Satanta. Serving will begin at 5:00 p.m. The meal will include two tacos, bottled water, and a dessert for $7.
