Today, our LIM Lighthouse Team focused on the academics component to create graphs displaying growth in student achievement for both i-Ready and IXL during the first semester. They shared thoughts on what it means to have a "culture for learning" before diving in!

The Satanta High School Golf Program will be selling tickets for a 50/50 raffle to help support the official start of our golf program. This fundraiser will help provide the resources and support needed as we build and grow a successful golf program for our students.

The raffle drawing will take place Friday, January 23rd at halftime of the home boys basketball game vs. South Gray. This game has been bought out by Rooney Farms, so admission will be free. The winner will receive 50% of the total pot, with the remaining 50% going directly toward supporting the Satanta Golf Program. Winner must be present to win.

Due to early dismissal today because of weather, a brief meeting will be held Monday morning at 7:45 AM for high school boys AND girls interested in golf to receive tickets and information about the fundraiser. 8th-grade girls who are interested in golf should also attend, as they will be freshmen next fall.

Community support is greatly appreciated as we begin this new chapter for Satanta Golf. If you have any questions, please contact Coach Gavin Tegeler.

Students in the Marketing Applications class are creating recap videos to highlight our sports seasons. If you’d like to submit a video of your athlete (credit will be given), please send video submissions to cdunn@usd507.org or message Courtney Dunn through the USD 507 app. The final recap videos will be less than 60 seconds, so please understand that while we truly appreciate all submissions, not all videos may be used. Thanks for the support!

Today, the USD 507 Care Closet received a $2,500 check from Cobalt Cattle in support of Satanta High School’s efforts to ensure that every USD 507 student has what he or she needs to be successful, including nutritional support, hygiene items, clothing, and—when needed—athletic shoes and other equipment through our SPEAR (Students Providing Educational and Athletic Relief) program. SPEAR is designed to ensure that no student ever feels unable to participate in an extracurricular sport or activity because of financial constraints. We sincerely thank Cobalt Cattle for their generosity and support of our students and community, and we are committed to using these funds responsibly to benefit the students and families we serve. Thank you, Cobalt Cattle!
