Summer Learning at Satanta Jr. - Sr. High School will begin on Monday, June 10 at 8:30 a.m. Over the course of the next three weeks (June 10-28), we will meet Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. These times are designed to allow students to utilize our free breakfast and lunch program. We will meet, at least initially, in the library at the high school, breaking out into smaller groups as needed. The USD 507 Summer Food program begins June 3 in the SGS cafeteria. Free breakfast and lunch are served to all children ages 18 months to 18 years. Summer Learning runs from June 10 to June 28, Monday through Friday, 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. Students must have preregistered before the end of the school year.

Support Isaiah as he heads out to compete at the KSHSAA State Track & Field Competion. He will depart from the SHS parking lot at 10 on Thursday, heading down main street and past the Satanta Methodist Church before leaving town. Isaiah will compete on Friday at 4:45 in Wichita.

Results for the 1A Regional Track Meet in Tribune today. Isaiah 2nd place with a jump of 21’5.25” and will advance to state next week. Malia placed 6th in the 300 hurdles  PR’s include: Xander in Triple jump Erik in shot put Jayline in shot put Marlen in Discuss  Edgar in 1600m and 800m run Jalynn in 800m run Great job Indians! Thanks for putting in the work this season.

Our 8th graders celebrated their promotion to high school last night. We are proud of these students and are looking forward to their high school years!

The Satanta High School track team had a beautiful day at the SPIAA league track meet. Our athletes brought home some medals and accomplished PRs.  Medalist: Isaiah - 3rd in Long Jump and 6th in 100m dash Joe - 5th in Javelin (PR) and 4th in Discuss Edgar tied 6th Pole Vault (PR) Cameron - 1st in Javelin Kassady - 6th in High Jump Malia - 6th in 110m hurdles  PR accomplishments: Eva - Discus and Shot Put Erik - Shot Put Vladimir - 100m dash Malia - Shot Put Jaylynn - 1600m Run Edgar - Pole Vault, 1600m Run, and the 800m Run Great day Indians, we are excited for regionals next week!
