The FHSU Hispanic College Institute (HCI) is a free, four-day residential program at Fort Hays State University designed to help Hispanic and Latino high school students prepare for college. Participants gain experience with college admissions, essay writing, public speaking, interviewing, and financial aid applications while connecting with Hispanic mentors and leaders. The program includes campus housing, meals, and transportation within Kansas at no cost, plus opportunities for scholarships. The 2025 HCI runs June 4-7 and is open to current high school sophomore and juniors (GPA 2.5+). More medals for the Satanta High School Forensics from the meet at Liberal High School today! Lauren Dusin placed fourth in impromptu speaking and FIRST in humorous solo. Her finish in humorous solo qualifies her for State competition! Deacon Hockett placed fifth in extemporaneous speaking. We're proud of these freshmen!
