
Satanta High School Student Council is looking for small projects that need to be done around the community. We have about a 2.5 hour period available on Friday, September 30. We will start that morning around 8:30 a.m. Please submit your ideas (or request assistance) by contacting Tim Dusin at tdusin@usd507.org.

The October 3 Satanta Chamber of Commerce Luncheon will be served by Satanta High School students taking concurrent classes via Seward County Community College.
Proceeds from the homemade Mexican food meal will be used to help these students defray the cost of tuition for their classes. Hope to see you there!


On Monday, October 3, SHS will host its annual FAFSA Night at 7pm in the high school library. All Satanta seniors have been invited to attend and have been advised of what information will be needed for this meeting:
SSNs (student's and parents')
DOB (student's and parents')
Parents’ anniversary date
Taxes from 2021 (student's and parents')
Evidence of other income (student's and parents')
Representatives from the Financial Aid office at Seward County Community College will be on hand to provide assistance and answer questions. For more details about this event, please contact USD 507 counselor, Teresa Anthony.

Congratulations to Satanta cross country runners who competed in the rain at Montezuma. Xander was the varsity runner-up, with Curtis placing 14th. Oscar placed 6th in JV. Bentleigh placed 6th, Kace 8th, Eathan 5th, and Edgar 4th. The middle school boys team placed 2nd, and the middle school girls team placed 3rd. Lots of PRs today! Great job!

Satanta FCCLA is serving a taco salad meal at Friday’s game, beginning at 6:00 p.m. The meal will include a taco salad, homemade rice, cake, and bottled water for $8.

The JH cross country team competed in hot conditions at Arkalon Park against teams from much larger schools. Congratulations to Bentleigh (9th), Eathan (4th), Edgar (4th), and Jalynn (10th). Everyone placed a season record!





Satanta National Honor Society will host an American Red Cross Blood Drive on Wednesday, September 28 from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Satanta United Methodist Church.

Congratulations to Kace Wenta who ran his first cross-country race last Thursday. He was first among all sixth-grade runners and placed fourth in the seventh-grade division with a one-mile time of 6:47.
