It was a great day for the Satanta track team at Moscow tonight! Kacen placed 1st in discus, shot put, and javelin. Isaiah M placed 1st in 100m and long jump and 2nd in 200m. Malia placed 1st in 100H and 300H and 5th in triple jump. Xander placed 2nd in 800m, 300H, and 3200m. Sean placed 2nd in javelin. Cameron placed 3rd in high jump and triple jump and 4th in 400m. Bobby placed 3rd in 100m and long jump and 5th in 200m. Eva placed 4th in discus and 6th in javelin. Kassady placed 4th in long jump. Roman placed 5th in discus. Oscar placed 6th in javelin. Maria placed 6th in discus. Marlen placed 6th in shot put. The boys 4x800 relay placed 2nd, and the boys placed 2nd as a team. Great job!



KAY Club put on an Easter Egg hunt for our grade school students today! Great example of student-driven leadership and collaboration!










There will be no bus routes tomorrow (4-4) due to predicted winds. If you feel it is unsafe for you to transport your child to school, call the office so their absence can be excused.

Due to weather safety concerns, we will NOT be sending the JH track team to Jetmore tomorrow, Tuesday, March 4th.

Our KAY Club helped with the Chamber of Commerce Easter Egg Hunt this afternoon.


The Satanta HS Athletic banquet will take place tomorrow April 3. It will take place at 6:30 in the HS cafeteria.

The SHS track team competed in a windy meet at Meade on Friday. Isaiah Manriquez placed 1st in the 100m and 5th in long jump. Kacen Anthony placed 2nd in shot put and discus and 3rd in javelin, with Sean Wagner placing 4th in javelin. Malia Anderson placed 2nd in 300m hurdles and 3rd in 100m hurdles. Isaiah Garcia placed 5th in the 800m. Xander Garcia placed 4th in the 3200m and 5th in 300 hurdles. Bobby Salazar placed 6th in the 100m. The boys' 4x800 relay team of Isaiah Garcia, Isaiah Manriquez, Bobby Salazar, and Xander Garcia placed 3rd, and the boys' team placed 4th out of 10 teams. Great job, Indians!

Beginning April 17, Russell Childhood Development will offer FREE parenting classes in English and Spanish in Satanta. Parents receive a $25 gift card for each class they attend.



SGS Preschool and Kindergarten Round-Up will be held in the SGS gym on Monday, April 3. Incoming preschoolers and their families are invited at 5 p.m. Incoming kindergarteners and their families are invited at 6 p.m. Please enter through the front doors to the grade school.

Notes from Trego Powerlifting Meet:
Lifters competed in Squat, Bench Press, & Hang Clean against a combined 270 lifters between 25 schools, mostly larger schools.
- Roman Salazar lifted a total of 595 lbs.
- Malia Anderson lifted a total of 440 lbs.
- Isaiah Garcia placed 1st in the squat with a new meet record in the 140 lb. BW division with a lift of 370 lbs! He lifted a total of 715 lbs.
- Joseph Anderson lifted a total of 760 lbs.
- Edwin Arana placed 1st in the squat with a lift of 415 lbs! He lifted a total of 855 lbs.
- Bobby Salazar placed 3rd overall in the 173 lb. division with a lift total of 835 lbs.
- Morgan Pendergraft placed 3rd overall in the 165 lb. division with a lift total of 540 lbs.



There will be a parents' meeting for junior high and high school track on Wednesday, March 8, at 5 p.m. in the high school concessions area.
