Satanta cross country competed at Stanton County today. Xander placed 7th in varsity boys; Bentleigh placed 7th, Eathan 3rd, and Edgar 9th in the junior high races. Lots of PRs again this week!

Mark your calendar for Donuts with Grown-Ups on October 14. Grade school students may invite one grown-up to join them for breakfast that morning. Watch for more information as the date approaches.


Llama Day sure was a llama fun! Thank you to PTO and the Satanta Long Term Care Unit for making it possible!





Parents of SHS athletes, the Chieftain staff will have all fall sport photos (team and individual) taken by Wednesday, September 21. Forms will be sent home with all student athletes with extra copies available in the high school office.
Pre-payment is required, and the initial order deadline has been set for Friday, September 23. A second order will be placed after that to ensure that the needs of all students are met.
A popular option, the Green and Gold package, includes a 8x10 memory mate (individual and team combo) and photo button for $12.

SHS Mini-Cheer!


Another great day for Satanta cross country at the Hugoton meet. Eathan placed 7th and Hayden placed 12th. Edgar also placed 16th and Xander placed 19th. Lots of grit shown yesterday!



Satanta High School Student Council is looking for small projects that need to be done around the community. We have about a 2.5 hour period available on Friday, September 30. We will start that morning around 8:30 a.m. Please submit your ideas (or request assistance) by contacting Tim Dusin at tdusin@usd507.org.

The October 3 Satanta Chamber of Commerce Luncheon will be served by Satanta High School students taking concurrent classes via Seward County Community College.
Proceeds from the homemade Mexican food meal will be used to help these students defray the cost of tuition for their classes. Hope to see you there!


On Monday, October 3, SHS will host its annual FAFSA Night at 7pm in the high school library. All Satanta seniors have been invited to attend and have been advised of what information will be needed for this meeting:
SSNs (student's and parents')
DOB (student's and parents')
Parents’ anniversary date
Taxes from 2021 (student's and parents')
Evidence of other income (student's and parents')
Representatives from the Financial Aid office at Seward County Community College will be on hand to provide assistance and answer questions. For more details about this event, please contact USD 507 counselor, Teresa Anthony.
