Wear a Kansas shirt on Friday to celebrate Kansas Day!

Here's our February lunch menu.

With Valentine's Day approaching, I would like to remind families of the SGS policy regarding deliveries at school. We do not accept deliveries of presents, flowers, balloons, etc. at school.
Students who wish to distribute valentines should bring enough for their entire class. Teachers will send home class lists. Organizations or community members wishing to distribute valentines or gifts should plan to distribute the same item to all SGS students (122 students).
Thanks for helping us avoid chaos in the office and tears in the classroom!

PTO meeting at 5 p.m. tonight in the GS cafeteria. Everyone is welcome!

We are excited to announce that Satanta has been chosen as a host city for BAK for June 10. Stay tuned for more details!

Congratulations to our spelling bee contestants and winners. Aiden placed 1st, Michael 2nd, and Mena 3rd. They will represent SGS at the Haskell County Spelling Bee February 1 at 1:30 at Sublette High School. Colton is the alternate.

We have a few upcoming dress-up days.
To celebrate Kansas Day on Friday, January 27, we will wear shirts that represent Kansas (could be a school, a sports team, a place in Kansas, etc.).
For the 100th day of school, dress like you're 100 years old. Unless we have snow days, the 100th day of school will be Monday, February 6.
The week of February 6 will also be Spirit Week for high school homecoming--more information to follow.

There is no school for USD 507 on Monday, January 16. See you on Tuesday!

Congratulations to our class spelling bee winners and alternates. Colton, Avery, Makennan, Mena, Aiden, and Michael will compete in the school spelling bee on January 18 at 2 p.m. in the SGS gym. Families are invited. Belen and Adileny are the alternates. The Haskell County Spelling Bee will be held in Sublette on February 1 at 1:30. The top three spellers from our bee will compete at the county bee.
