The December Board of Education meeting will be held in the Satanta Grade School meeting room at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, December 8. There will be a policy committee meeting at 6 p.m.

Santa will visit Satanta on Saturday, December 6, from 10 a.m. to noon in the Satanta Grade School gym. Pictures will be available, along with crafts, activities, cookies and cocoa, and door prizes!

Kansas Commissioner of Education Dr. Randy Watson and State Board of Education President Cathy Hopkins recognized USD 507 yesterday with the Commissioner's Award with Highest Distinction. Satanta was one of only four districts to receive this award for our post-secondary success rates. We are honored to be recognized for all of the hard work of our students and the adults who guide them! Joyce Apsley and Teresa Anthony were students and athletes under Dr. Watson during his time teaching and coaching in Andover and are two of the individuals in our district who work especially hard to help every student succeed!
Today is substitute teacher appreciation day! We are so thankful for our outstanding subs! Thank you for all you do!
