We are deeply grateful for Cloverleaf 4H's support of our SPEAR project, which serves USD 507 students by providing athletic gear, school supplies and backpacks, nutritional support, and more. Thank you! Cloverleaf's donation, generated by today's bake sale, comes at a time when our students and staff are working together to create a "giving space" in an unused classroom at Satanta High School. This room will be stocked with clothing items and shoes as well as a library of books, which will be available for student check-out. Eventually, this space will be used to house our school's food pantry as well. As always, donations towards the SPEAR project are welcome! Ready-to-eat foods, personal care items, and cold-weather wear are always in short supply. Monetary donations are especially appreciated as those funds can be used to fill immediate needs.

Don't miss the Friday (October 18) home football game. There is A LOT going on that night! Admission to the game will be FREE, courtesy of a buy-out by the Satanta District Hospital. We are continuously grateful for the support of our hospital, which is at the heart of our community both literally and figuratively! The Satanta Booster Club is having a hamburger feed. It's never too late to join! Satanta fall athletes will receive a free meal. It's Senior Night. Join us as we recognize our senior players and their parents! It's Pink-out, and the Satanta KAYs are raising funds for cancer research by selling ribbons in honor of cancer survivors and in remembrance of those who have lost their lives to the disease.

Satanta National Honor Society is hosting a donation drive for the Western Kansas Child Advocacy Center (WKCAC) during the month of October. Our focus is collecting items that the center uses to aid the children in their care. Items on this list can be found here. These items can be dropped off at Satanta Grade School, Satanta High School, or the Dudley Township Public Library. To incentivize donations of these items, student donors (grades K-12) will be given a raffle ticket for a $50 gift card for each item donated. The drawing will be held at the conclusion of the donation drive, which is slated for October 31. Let’s work together to support the WKCAC, which provides comprehensive services to child victims of abuse and their families in rural Western Kansas. The center offers a safe and supportive environment for children who have experienced physical abuse, neglect, or other forms of trauma. We can help heal that trauma with even the smallest of gifts.
