The 3rd through 5th graders made cards for the Veterans at Fort Dodge Soldiers Home.

Congratulations to these 2nd graders who have earned 25 AR points!

We will serve a Thanksgiving feast for our students and families on Thursday, November 20, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Satanta Grade School. We would love to have you join us on this day to eat lunch with your child. We will start serving the Kindergarten students at 11:00 and will work our way to 5th grade. Junior high and high school students will be bussed over to eat at 11:40. If you have students in both buildings and would like them to eat together, please notify the high school of your plans. Junior high and high school students can be picked up and signed out by a parent.
Please purchase tickets in the grade school office before the meal or bring exact change or a check. The cost for guests is $6 per meal.

National Honor Society inducted seven new members tonight (Osvaldo, Marshall, Jalynn, Deacon, Hayden, Lauren, and Gissell). They join returning members Montae, Edgar, Cameron, and Mia. We are proud of these scholars! Thank you to Mrs. Anthony for speaking and to USD 507 food service for catering tonight's event.


SGS is holding a pop-tab contest to benefit the Ronald McDonald House. The winning class earns a popcorn party! Feel free to drop your poptabs by SGS.

Congratulations to Edgar Najera, who placed 18th at the 1A State Cross Country Meet in Wamego, with a time of 17:40.21. This time broke the school record Edgar set last week at regionals. Previously, the school record had been held by Rogelio Pando, who happens to be Edgar's brother-in-law!

The Satanta High School Scholars' Bowl team placed first out of 18 team competing at Lakin High School last night. This is the team's third first-place finish over the last three tournaments!

During the month of November, SGS will host a Blessing Table in the entryway. Families and the community are invited to leave food donations on the table for those in need. We encourage donations of kid-friendly items like granola bars and mac & cheese cups, but all donations will be accepted. Students and families are free to take items before and after school.

We're moving into a busy time of the year. Here are upcoming SGS events!

Satanta Grade School will honor veterans at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, November 11, with a Veterans Day program. The public is invited to attend. We encourage veterans to attend to be honored for their service.
