We did it!

Thanks to the generosity and support of our entire community, Monday’s Benefit Breakfast was a tremendous success. We made 260 breakfast burritos and sold all but one dozen—just enough to feed the students who worked the breakfast.

On Friday, we will send a check to Pawnee Heights representing the generosity and compassion of the Satanta community.

This experience gave our students an opportunity to serve others, work together, and see firsthand what a caring community can accomplish. It also reminded us that a well-rounded education is about more than academics—it includes learning how to be a good human.

This past Friday, September 11th, students in Mr. Tegeler’s High School PE/Fitness classes participated in the 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb to honor and remember the lives lost on that tragic day in American history. While climbing, students carried book bags loaded with 25 pounds to simulate the oxygen tanks carried by firefighters. Students climbed up and down 70 times to equal the number of stairs the brave first responders climbed that day. Through this challenge, our students gained a small glimpse of the strength, sacrifice, and courage shown by those heroes. 25 years later, we still remember. We will never forget.

Our student volunteers are up bright and early and ready to serve you breakfast at the Satanta Community Building. We're proud of their volunteer spirit!
