A few more pictures of our Earth Day extravaganza!

To celebrate Earth Day, our district came together for a day of service, learning, and fun! We started by picking up trash around Satanta. Then the high school and junior high students led grade school students in hands-on activities to teach students about the environment. We enjoyed lunch and recess together, played games, and ended the day with dirt and worms. It took a lot of work to pull this off. A huge shoutout to our Leader in Me culture team for organizing the day. Thank you also to the Haskell County Coalition for loaning us the inflatable games!

With three new State Champs qualifiers at the Bucklin Last-Chance Meet, the Satanta High School forensics team has qualified 14 entries for the state tournament with just six total team members! New qualifiers include the following: Jalynn Hockett - Informative (moving from festival to champs) Clayton Kunselman - POI Melissa Chavez - Serious Solo

Good luck today at home against Bucklin!

It’s Gameday for our Haskell County softball team! They travel to Lakin to take on the Broncos, with JV first pitch set for 2:00 PM. The varsity doubleheader is scheduled for 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM. Head over to Lakin and support our girls as they compete on the diamond!

It’s Gameday for our High School baseball team! They’re back defending home field against the Bucklin Red Aces, with first pitch set for 4:00 PM. Game two will begin approximately 15 minutes after the conclusion of game one. Come out, pack the stands, and cheer on our boys as they compete on the diamond!

Lauren Dusin, a sophomore at Satanta High School, finished as runner-up in the Senior Historical Paper category at the Kansas State History Day contest and is now eligible to defend her paper in Washington DC for the National History Day contest. Congratulations, Lauren!

Jalynn Hockett qualified two events for State Forensics Festival on Saturday, April 18 by earning first division ratings in prose and informative speaking at Regional Forensics at Holcomb High School. Way to go, Jalynn!
